A year in review!

It's been a year since our family first looked at the property! It is amazing what God has done this last year! By His grace, we have raised a structure that is now just a house, but soon will be our HOME! We are so thankful that we have this opportunity to work together building something that will last us the rest of our lives. What wonderful memories we have been making! The guys (and some of us girls too) have worked in the rain, ice, snow, cold, hail, wind, sun, heat, humidity and cool summer evenings. Tell me, what more could they ask for? Okay, lets not answer that. There are plenty of other things (weather wise) that could happen. =)
This was the first time we saw the property exactly a year ago.
Look different?
Foundation is in!
First wall!
The bottom floor is framed except for Grandpa and Grandma's side.
There! Grandpa and Grandma's side is going up!
Getting closer!
First wall upstairs!
It snowed! See the snowman INSIDE our home!

Top floor is framed!
The trusses are up and the sheeting is done on Grandpa's side!

Sheeting almost done on front!

The dormers are going in. (Boy, were those a PAIN to put in! But well worth the look and necessary for code!)

Getting ready to put the roofing on!

Partly roofed!
Finished!
The porch is up!
The porch is roofed.
First window!!!!
Windows are IN! (Except one to get the dry wall through)
The bottom floor is papered!

Today finds the house with the siding done on the front and almost on the back! God is so good! We can't wait to move in and see what God does there! We pray we will use this house to bring honor to His name and bless many by opening our doors to them!

Wow!! It seems like I saw all those pics just a few weeks ago! Although I'm SURE it doesn't seem to be that way for you.

We'll get to see it in person finally!!! Just a few short days! See you SOON!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! That is so neat watching the progress. You should make a flip-book of it. Start to finish. :)

Amber,
How exciting to see siding up on the house, so very beautiful! Can't wait to see the finished product on the inside. What a thrill for you and your family to see all this first hand, and be a part of building your own home.
