"Film Stills"

Getting ready for a glamor shot.

"Ouch!"  Gracie fixes something in her slipper.  Sarah waiting for her turn in the picture.

"Come on Sarah, loosen up!"

"Oh!!!  Did you hear....?"  *gasp*

 Unsuspecting ladies.

 *scream* EEKKK   A bad guy!

"Don't worry!  I'll take care of it!"  Gracie always prepared and ready.

My dad's newest piece of handiwork!

Dad finished Mom's Mother's Day present!!!  She's long desired a porch swing and Dad has finally finished her dream!  It's needless to say that she isn't the only one who is going to enjoy it. :-)

Ta da!!!   It comfortably fits 3 people (but it can hold more!)

The seat is made out of an antique table top.  The table was falling apart and wasn't fixable so Dad found another great use for it.

The back is an antique door Dad had lying around.  It was too short to fit a normal doorway and it fit the swing perfectly after cutting a few inches off the bottom!!  He decided to take off the handle though...didn't think it would feel good in the back of the neck!  lol!

These are the legs of the table and the arm rest was the brace for the table legs...we love putting junk furniture to a new use!

These are Maple bars that started the Fairchild Family Feud.....
(insert here the theme music from "the Good the Bad and the Ugly")

They really were divine maple bars.....but I didn't say that.....let them think they got the last word!  Okay?  hehehe!

Random Pictures...

...from the last couple months....okay...several months!  I can't believe how time has flown and I had no idea it's been so long since I've updated Behind the Scenes Blog.

Bright eyes!  Lydia is holding a lovely sign with a lovely message.

Yippy!!!!  My dear friend Sarah and her sister Rebecca came to visit this summer and like always we had a such a lovely time together making memories that will last a life time.

 Rebecca and Heather

Oh dear!  What can I say?  This is just one of those pictures that had better be left alone and not attempt to put a description.

Handsome Ben in a 3 wheeled pick-up made in Japan.

Funny lookin' I know!  (Taylor and his friend were repairing it)

Grace and Michelle H. during a reenactment.  They are dear girls and we treasure their friendship!

Gracie wetting her feet in the heat of the day.

And other young ladies follow suit!

 Michelle and I together.

The boys enjoyed an evening of wrestling and having a great time!

 Cute little guys!

A lovely picture of Gracie, Lydia and Sarah.

We were greatly blessed to be able to spend 5 days at a condo in a lovely resort.  It was a wonderful time spent doing fun family activities and resting when we wanted to!  It was great fun.  This was our view from the back windows!

We thoroughly enjoyed eating these famous and amazing doughnuts.  Wow they were good!  (remember this picture because I will shortly be posting a new Fairchild Family Flim...and the hint it is: it has something to do with these doughnuts!)

Mom took this for me!

 All 5 of us sisters!

We also enjoyed a lively game of miniature golf!  That was a new and delightful experience for all of us!

Dad helped Lydia with her hits.  I love their expressions in this
picture, serious golfers!

We were able to explore a mile long lava tube deep under ground.  Cold, dark and scary!  It wasn't really scary but it wouldn't have been fun if we hadn't made spooky noises and jumped out at each other.

Then we drove up to the top of a mountain which was almost 8,000 feet high!  It was really cold and windy up there but the spectacular view was worth the misery!

At a wedding recently our family enjoyed blowing bubbles!  Emma is trying to figure this thing out!

Molly just enjoys looking at everyone and swatting bubbles that her family was more than happy to blow her way.   What a doll she is!

 She has it down!

Heather harvested an abundance of herbs out of the herb garden and hung them to dry in the attic.  They looked lovely but our home was invaded with far too many bugs and spiders from the herbs!  lol!

Lydia turns 6!  I can't believe the "baby" of the family is already 6!  Emma enjoyed being treated like a princess right along with Lydia.

Benjamin is showing Molly how to play with a little toy.  She was totally enraptured for a long time and didn't move or seem to grow weary of the toy!

Lydia blowing out her candles from her interesting but yummy cake.

Right now we have the honor of having my grandpa's cousins, Mary and Mozelle here for a visit.  They are from SC and have the most darling southern drawls.  We're picking up the drawl too which means our southern roots are coming to the surface!

Grandpa and his cousins under a covered bridge just around the corner from our house.

Well, I hope you enjoyed looking through these pictures!  Stay tuned for the most recent Fairchild Family Film!  hehehe!  Can't wait to post it!

Sunny Summer Sunday

Having breakfast and tea on the back patio with guests.  Aw!  The delights of summer time!

Sweet Jenny came to visit us from CA.  She was such a delight to have in our home and so fun to talk with, we were sad to have her leave.

The "guys" telling us stories about their camping trip.  They were entertaining, for sure!

I clicked a quick picture of Jenny and Heather before we headed out to church.

After church we went to a near by park for a picnic.  David was telling a story of some sort!

Felicia with her husband Clint joined us for lunch as well.

The whole clan!

 Benjamin enjoying Molly!

Poor Emma got very warm playing on the play ground, but I'm sure the cookie helped! ;)

 Little Molly looking sweet.

But shortly she was fast asleep!

Me with Jenny right before we headed off to take her to the airport.

 Us girls!

 Mom and I!

 Heather and Mom

 Gracie and Mom

The elder ladies in our family!
