A long awaited house update!

Well, I've been asked over and over to give an update on the house, so here it is! There hasn't been anything "new" to take pictures of since all there is, is wire and duct work going in! Both are essential but not very interesting to photograph! LOL! But when we have friends come to help on the house, then the camera starts shooting! We love having company at our new house! It makes work so much more fun!

Some friends came over, Mr. and Mrs. V. They were both so helpful! Mr. V crawled around on the floor and measured out the place for the wood stove, saving Dad lots of time and talked through many essential things.

Mrs. V is invaluable with her wonderful talent of thinking outside of the box! She has so many delightful ideas! Her home is amazing with all the things she makes out of nothing! She is a great inspiration and mentor, and so sweet too!

The place for the wood stove! Although it doesn't look like that anymore! =) Dad finished framing it in!! Grandpa and Taylor put in the stairs that go out the back porch. It is fun to see all the "little" things getting done!

A long time friend Derek A. helped for a long days work with wiring. Many hands make light work! Thanks so much Derek!

Ummmm...yeah, that is the dining room table! =) I can assure you it will not look like that when we move in! Guys.... haha!

Grandpa's "To Do" list! Actually it's almost done!!!!!

Grandpa working on the heating the ducts. He has been working 5 days a week on this house! We are so proud of him! He is the greatest grandpa! =)

More of his handy work! This is under the house! I didn't crawl under there, so this picture was taken by my more adventurous sister, Gracie! lol!

Last night the man who is going to make our cabinets came over to the house with his family (they are family friends of ours) and we talked and discussed the way we want the cabinets! It was great fun! I didn't get any pictures since it was dark by the time they came. There will be other pictures of him and his handiwork some day soon! =)

As soon as there is anything of interest to report on the house I will update! Actually, I need to post some family pictures! The younger children are growing so fast!

Then we decided we needed to take a walk and enjoy the evening before the BIG day! It was a nice walk and we were able to laugh, talk and have a great time together! It was a lovely end to a lovely day! Keep looking at the next few posts to see the rest of the happiness!
