Nesting pictures!

I have been so busy nesting and making this lovely new house a home that I haven't taken many pictures nor spent the time to post the ones I have taken. Also I was waiting until things were more finalized and since that is taking longer than I expected, I decided to go ahead and let you all see what we have been up to.

Our laundry table!

The China hutch! It's it just lovely! It was our Grandma's so it is extra special!

The living room

Some of the Couches came over Valentines Day and Heather's birthday, so we celebrated both together with dear friends!

Dad and Taylor laid the last of the wood flooring in grandpa's room! It's ALL done now! Whew!

The island, dining room and some of the entry room.

The vanity in the main bathroom! The mirror will be hung! Just haven't got there yet!

We finally got our mirrors installed on Saturday! Wow! They really make the bathroom look finished! Imagine that!

Dad and Mom's room and the door to their bathroom. Oh, and the picture above the bed isn't going to remain there! It's much too small but it needed something till it can be fixed!

The entry and the newly installed french doors!

Grandma's secretary and the picture of Grandma's father with his family. It's a special spot in the house and no one is allowed to touch it! It's special!

Also dad has been working on the back splash in the kitchen.

Working on the window sill.

We have a lot of cents! LOL! Just kidding! We are using pennies as spacers for the tile! It works really well!

Tile ready to go!

Gracie helping lay some.

Mostly she was putting the mortar on the backs.

Last, but not least, what child hasn't put a water trough in the creek and went boating? I think all of us kids have! Sarah looked so cute out there enjoying the nice, cold, wet day!

We're HOME!!!!!

=) =) =) =)

Yep! We moved and are getting settled! Everything went very well on Friday and Saturday although both days (or shall I say months!) were very tiring which isn't surprising since we moved a whole family of 9 and all the stuff we collected over 10 and a half years! We were so thankful for Sunday since we did rest and enjoy the family. We were so blessed to have Grandpa, Anna, and David and Keslie over after church for a family celebration meal! We all stood around the table and thanked God for giving us this immense blessing! Although, it is bitter-sweet since we built this house for Grandma and she isn't here with us right now, we know all of that is in God's hands and we look forward to when we can bring her home. We are thankful!

Friday, our cabinet maker came to put doors on the cabinets. He brought some of his children along! While he worked on cabinets his kids helped unload one of our huge trailers! They worked so hard for hours! This picture is the youngest, Brandon, as he plays with the toys!

The fridge going in! Once again, Mom got a bargain for it! She has her ways!

Heather, Camille and Janelle with their arms full!!!!

Brandon! He is so adorable and smiles like this ALL the time!

Also, on Friday, Grandpa got his granite in his kitchen installed! It looks great, his kitchen is just beautiful!

Micah, working on the cabinets with his dad! It's great to see these young men working along- side their fathers, learning their trades!

Tacky picture, but it is the first meal cooked in the oven! Mrs. G. brought a huge lasagne and bread on Friday which fed 13 of us hungry workers.

Justin and Joel working ever so hard to empty the trailer!

Looking into the house from the porch! It looks so homey!

The settee that Mom got at a garage sale! She picked the paint color to compliment the settee! It worked!

The girls preparing dinner!

The boys waiting and starving! They worked up an appetite!

Yummy!!!!

That's right! Whew! Finally after 14 months of building! That doesn't include the countless hours and even days that we spent clearing the land in order to build! What a glorious day! We had some great helpers! Josh Glenn came the afternoon before to work and spent the night, then on Saturday morning Mr. Webber came to help move as well as David and Keslie! Later Harry, who works with dad came for a while and then Derek did too! We had quite the crew! We are so thankful for the strong arms and willing hearts!!! They needed them with all the heavy things that needed loaded and then carried UP stairs to the second floor and sometimes the attic! Whew!

I think someone got tired of writing on the boxes so SHE decided to draw on them!

Heather cleaning the bathroom at the "rental" for the last time, yahhhhh!

Out go the beds!

Josh, David and Ben making sure nothing is loose!

The dinning room has no table!

"Hey! I see an eye!!!" "Really? So do I!!!!" David and Josh goofing off!

That evening Grandma E. brought Sarah and Lydia home (she had taken them home for the night so we didn't have to watch Lydia! It was so nice to not worry about her!), and then Grandma spent our first night with us, we were so happy to have her with us.

It's beginning to look like a home!

Derek is lowering the lights over the table with David's help.

See the living room!!!!! I love it! It feels so nice to sit in there with the wood stove!

Saturday evening, dad's brother Paul and our cousins, Katelyn and Kelsie, brought pizza for dinner! Oh! It was so wonderful to eat with family and friends there! Uncle Paul jumped right in and helped the guys carry things in and do what ever needed done! The girls were a great help as well, looking for things to help with! Thank you! (Oh, you have to notice Ben's face in this picture! LOL! We were all pretty tired that night!)

See? 17 people in the kitchen and there could have been more, this is what it is all about!!!!

We found the table, but alas, the leaf wasn't to be found yet! But that didn't stop them from using it!

On Sunday, we decided we needed to sit down and watch a movie as a family since it has been FOREVER since we have done so! We watched the Widow's Might, winner of the San Antonio Christian Film Festival! It was wonderful, with a convicting yet encouraging theme! (Thankfully, Anna was still with us!)

The kitchen looking a little more like it's being lived in! Haha! It's messy! Things still need to find their places!

The linen closet and it's tidy!!!!!

Our little army man and drill sergeant! Not really! He's just all boy!

Oh, I wanted to add a special thanks to Anna and her parents! Anna has been a tremendous help and we thank God for her willing and helpful attitude! She was indispensable! We have become very used to our new sister, and it was sad to see her go yesterday, but we look forward to her return when things are a little more normal around here! Her parents have been so gracious to spare her for many, many days! Thank you Lindgren family!!!!

We're not quite content though, we need to get Grandpa here with us and then all will be well. His home is almost ready, it won't be long and he will be here and then we can all sigh a sigh of relief!!!
