A Wedding Cake!

Heather made this stunner of a wedding cake for a couple in March.  The wedding color was Lavender so Heather went on a hunt for a flower that was lavender and in season, which wasn't easy since it was a little early for lots of flowers to be in bloom.  Then it suddenly hit her.  Heather!  Heather is lavender in color and was in bloom!  Thus her Heather Cake was born!

With Lydia as my subject, a delightful train station in town and my trusty camera at my side I knew the result was going to be lovely but what I didn't realize at the time was that none of that would have worked had it not been for dear Lydia and her love of posing for me! Enjoy!
