It's her birthday!

Lydia Anne is turning 7 today!
Sorry about all the pictures but she was (and is) too cute to pass up darling pictures of her....

Enjoy!

 Grandma's first time seeing Lydia.

Smile!

Isn't she just kissable?

Aw!  Our "Towel Baby"

Christmas excitement

Reading with grandma.  If you look closely  you can see a huge knot on her forehead.  Not uncommon for Lydia, she was always getting hurt.

Eek!  Too cute!

Sporting new dresses.

More cuteness and bruises!

Wow!  Lydia is the queen of face-making.

Almost 3-years-old at David's wedding.

First time celebrating her birthday with her new sister-in-law.  (Keslie's birthday is just a few days later)

Another bump on her head.

Photo shoot in a vintage dress.

Her favorite past time is picking flowers.  She now has her own flower garden which she'll tend for hours!

This is one of my most favorite pictures of her!

 She loves her daddy!

Vacation time with the family.

Kissin' on her new niece Emma!

First fish ever caught and proud of it!

Christmas play.  At first we thought they had permanent marker on their face but thankfully it was only eye liner pencil.  Whew!  That would have been a mess to clean off...it was hard enough!

Holding Molly

 The five sisters

Dad's golfing buddy!
(I just LOVE the expressions on both their faces!)

Buddies and friends, auntie and niece.

Playing in the rain.

Silly girl!

Missing her 4 front teeth!

This was a fun spring time photo-shoot.

Little Dutch girl for a dance.

Missing teeth and majorly crooked shades!

Holding Owen for the first time.  She's one happy auntie!

My 3 favorite girlies!

Slumber party with dear friends.

Yes, she ate the WHOLE ice cream cone!  (They all did as a matter of fact!)

Doughnuts are her one weakness in life!

Happy birthday Lydia!  You've certainly brought a huge light into our lives and keep us smiling!  We look forward to watching you grow and become a woman of God who delights to serve Him and others around you.

We LOVE you!

Look who came...

...for a visit!

The J family along with their foster baby.  The parents came too!
(I didn't take this picture nor a few of the following but Sarah J was kind enough to let me use some of her's since she was more faithful with her camera than I.  Thank you Sarah!)

The lovely mommies!

My dear friend and I!  Together again!

All dressed up for a girlie lunch in town!

While there, we were able to meet up with Taylor and since it was such a HOT day we brought him a cold drink.  Of course us girls in our pink, white and lace had to get a picture with the dirty, sweaty, hard working brother of ours.

Next stop, P.F. Chang's!  Wow, the food was wonderful!  I could certainly  eat there a lot; good thing the restaurant was about an hour away!

"Just ONE lick?"   If looks could kill....I think she got her answer!

Enjoying lovely babies!  Look at that little man grow!  Goodness, he is just too sweet!

Since Baby A is a foster baby they are not allowed to post her face online but these two are only 2 weeks apart so I had to post the picture!  Baby A is such a little delicate GIRL and Owen is just a hunk of a BOY!

Mr. and Mrs. J enjoying baby A.

It wouldn't be a J family visit without getting Maple Bars!  Yes, C family, we did REALLY enjoy them and this time we didn't total a vehicle getting these scrumptious treats.  Whew!  What an accomplishment!

Almost gone, we needed help eating the rest!
(Just kidding!  There weren't any more left.... nary a one!  Zip...zero...gone...forever.  But memories are everlasting!  Yummy!)

We enjoyed our traditional trip to the coast and the ever windy picnic lunch.  I wonder if the coast would even feel like the coast if it wasn't windy...

The famous bridge!  At least famous to us...

Onward ho!  David and Keslie brought their crab pots so off we go to check on them.  They caught 3 in all.  So much for our crab feast for dinner...we had left-over mexican instead.

Under the bridge photo shoot.

Becca, Gracie and Heather were joined by Sarah and Lydia in jumping off the parapet.  Their faces and poses are worth a thousand words!  I love it!

Off to the beach!

Sweet Molly!

Emma LOVES the water, any water!  All she talked about that day was swimming.  Finally she sees the water and with her daddy in tow off she goes!

Even the moms enjoyed it...but yes, it was cold and windy.

Playing in the warm sand.

David and Michael's traditional ocean-side photo.

Sweet Becca!

Our "camp site" consisted of 2 quilts, 4 chairs, bags of clothes and towels, and one gnarly tree.

Having fun and freezing at the same time...  I can't imagine enjoying that.  Burrr.

Daddy, the faithful coast guard!

Emma having the time of her year!

The girls aren't sure they really want to get all wet, cold and miserable.  Good choice!

Still having fun!

Molly Dollie figured out that sand doesn't taste good....yuck!

Finally Emma got cold enough to get out of the ocean.  We buried her in the warm sand but then Michael tickled her!

I'm not sure why Lydia ended up getting wet in her jeans but alas she figured out wet sandy jeans are really uncomfortable...poor thing!  We're thankful we brought her another set of clothes.

Not in my nose!

Sarah feeding Baby A. and trying to keep her out of the wind.

Owen's first time at the ocean.  This was the same beach Emma went to for the first time as well!  And like Emma, he slept the whole time!  Sweet little baby!

We then headed to historic downtown.

This guy was reveling in his catch!

Sarah caught me!

My angle!

We got home late and were very tired after our long fun-filled day!  Molly likes her Uncle Taylor.  He was tired from working the whole night before.

Later Michael wanted a picture with his trophy!  Dear me!  Taylor had no idea we were playing with him while he slept so soundly.

We even wiped out Owen...even though he slept all day.

All in all, we had a fabulous 5 days with the J family.  We spent a day going to some garage sales, another day having company over (yes we were happy to share our friends!), going to the beach, going on a girly lunch date, going to bed very late, and then the much dreaded day, the morning of the farewell.  There were so many tears. :sniff:  Just the remembrance of it makes me tear up and miss them.  God is good to give us such special friends and lovely times together.  We're so thankful for airplanes that so easily cover the miles between special friends.   We treasure the days and moments we have with the J family.
