Family from San Diego and Oregon!

We were blessed with a lovely visit with my grandma's cousin, his wife and their daughter on Tuesday evening. Cousin Ralph and Dorothy live in San Diego in the middle of an avocado orchard! They were twice spared from fires in recent years. Their daughter, Sue, lives about 35 minutes west of us so when her parents came to visit her they came by here for the evening! They brought pizza, a veggie tray and dessert! Boy, was that a treat!

Cousin Sue and mom, don't they look alike? :)

Before dinner we headed to Lacomb to see the house.

Daddy describing something to a captive audience.

This, believe it or not, is our back mudroom porch!

All the family who will live in the new house except David who wasn't home from work yet.

We were able to save this Camellia during all the logging and clean up. Now we are able to enjoy the lovely blossoms!

They were very interested with the Civil War Reenacting we do so David got out his musket and let them fire a couple of rounds from it! It was so funny to hear Grandpa yelling at the enemy when he shot the gun! It was great fun!

Cousin Ralph loading the musket with his daughter Sue watching.

"Make sure you get it all in!"

Even Cousin Dorothy was amused to watch her husband loading the musket even if she didn't like the noise it made!

Using the ramrod!

Everyone except David and Sue!

Thanks for the lovely visit! Can't wait to see you all again soon!

How fun! Looks like you all had a great visit.

I love the pic with all of you (except David) in front of the new house! You should get a pic from the same spot each year!

Yay! I'm so glad it finally worked. I don't know why, but on your blog and the M's I have trouble getting comments to post.

I hope this works better now. I'm not sure what was making it not work...
