Reenacting-Fall 2013

We were incredibly blessed to be able to attend and camp at one event this year.  Ft. Steven's reenactment is our families favorite event with the lovely park, stunning weather and delightful ocean breeze.  The event wouldn't be nearly as fun if it were not for our dear friends we camp with.  They make it for us and we thank God for His provision by bringing these people into our lives.  This event was a little different because we fed and housed 4 extra guys this weekend.  Yes, we had a busy camp site but the more the merrier!  Without more ado I'll get on to the pictures!

 Prettiness!

 Morning sun glowing on peaches!

We took Kate to her first overnight reenactment!  She did really well but was on high alert all weekend since everything was so new to her.

 Ross helping with breakfast.

Paul and Molly had a great time together!

 Emma is growing up!

 Mr. Poppins?  :-)

It's tradition to spend a couple hours on the beach.  It's lovely down there and running in the sand with hoops is an experience most ladies don't have.  The children love wading in the water and jumping the waves.

 Ready to jump!

I love how Faith and Annie are each holding on to their hats and skirts the same way!  Too cute!

The beach is a great place to take pictures!

Got you Grace!  But she got me too!  lol!

 Michelle and I!

She is such a dear friend and I thank God for her!

 Boys!
Walkin' in the water.  Thanks to Paul for getting these of me since I'm normally behind my own camera!

Getting dinner ready.  Paul and Nathan tried to keep up with Heather and Gracie and Ben is making sure no peelings get left behind!

Aw!  Lydia is looking so mature!  She will be 8 years old soon and I can't believe how time flies.

What a handsome couple!

Gracie and Owen.  I know Owen doesn't look so perky and cheerful but I still love the picture.

 Sarah and Emma

 Heather and Lydia

Our company's shared meal on Sunday night.

 Sweet Johanna!

 Owen playing with his daddy!

The two Mrs. H's!Enjoying the yummy food!

I'm thinking those smiles look forced and Gracie is cringing in the background watching them!  Dish time for the guys!

After noticing Owen was tired I took him for some auntie time and walked and sang to him until he fell asleep.  I love these times of snuggling with this little guy!

Yes, coffee is a must at reenactments!  It can never get done quick enough.

Children tending the fire (notice the coffee pot?  ;-)  Keep the fire hot kiddo's!

The Ben's!  Don't they look so handsome?

 Taylor looking suave!

 Natalie!!

Waving to the soldiers coming back from the battle.

Take down time.  It was perfect weather!

Natalie wanted to sit with Ben.

Another tradition!  Taco Bell after packing up.

Then the kids went outside and played football while the rest of us talked and watched.

 Pretty girlies!

Three of our rigs with loaded trailers!

Lydia slept the whole 3 hours home and then quickly jumped into bed and slept the night away.  Reenacting is tiring even for the children.

Thus ends a lovely weekend but the memories will be with us forever!
