George Washington Birth-night Ball

For about a month now, the Couches have been planning on coming to visit to surprise Heather for her birthday. When they were trying to figure out when to come they remembered that the Friday after her birthday there was going to be a Ball put on by friends of ours! Of course we all decided that was the best time to come and then they could attend the ball with us! For a month we had to keep this secret and need I say, it was VERY hard to do so!

On Thursday night, while we were cleaning the kitchen after dinner, Gracie starts screaming "THE C's ARE HERE!" All the kids under Taylor were just as surprised as Heather, and boy, was she surprised! It took awhile for the shock to wear off!

Friday was ball preparations and fellowship! Many curls were curled, dresses donned, bows tied and of course many giggles sounded through the house! The ball was absolutely lovely in a gorgeous ballroom and we even had live music to tap our toes to! The evening slipped by much to quickly but our beds felt very good when at last we slipped into them with heavy eyes!

Here are the pictures taken mostly by Kami and our friend Mrs. W. with Kami's wonderful new camera!

Curls!

And more curls, 65 to be exact! hehehehe!

"Now Heather, you must behave yourself and not talk with food in your mouth..."

"Okay Keslie, I'll try to remember..."

Jolie (Our friend from Brazil), Heather, Kami and Keslie

Taylor and David wishing the camera would get lost, fast!

The whole group ready to go! Even Lydia had to get in the picture!

We're dancing!

Our dear Kami!

Keslie and I

There were these lovely pillars all down the dance floor strung with white lights!

Would you like to know what we were saying! hehehehe You'll never know!

Me!

Ummm, did Keslie shrink? Oops!

David is still taller!

Who could this handsome young man be? My brother?!?!?!?! Sure is!

Obviously this was taken by Kami! hehehehe!

Lined up ready to start a dance!

It was a lovely weekend and the memories we carry from it will last a lifetime!

You all looked beautiful, and your hair looks gorgeous. It's the kind that you want to touch over and over again. ;) Does your community regularly put on balls?
Oh, and your brothers clean up nice, too. =)
