Want a laugh?

Okay, well as you know when we have company we tend to make goofy movies, and today was no different. (Oh no! Please don't let that scare you away from visiting us! We won't make a movie when you come if you don't want to!) Anna L. and her mom were here for the afternoon and evening and we got to making funny videos. Here is what we came up with!

Goofy Gracie reporting in a hurry.

Silly Smilie Sarah...well....at least trying to smile.

Sorry about all the background noise, but we were having a hard time keeping everyone quiet for the umpteen shots, if you know what I mean!

Thanks for watching!

A WHITE Winter Wonder Land! Pt.1

We woke up to a delightful surprise this fine morning! The ground was covered with a lovely blanket of snow! Over the next several hours we ended up with almost 6 inches! The day was filled with MUCH excitement and business as the children ran helter skelter, gathering their snow pants, boots, coats, hats, gloves and scarves.
The clearing in the woods in our back yard. (taken by daddy)

Lydia not liking the snow. She really didn't like being out there. I wonder if it was because she was so bundled up she couldn't move.... Really, she looked like a huge purple marshmallow! LOL

I think she's happy! What do you think?

Sarah, Lydia, Gracie and Benjamin enjoying the lovely freezing stuff falling from the sky.

The oak trees covered in snow.

Sarah dancing under the oaks!

I took some pictures of Heather! I think she looks like a poor Russian girl!

Thoughtful.

Then Heather took some of me!

I love the snow!

Trying to catch a piece!

A WHITE Winter Wonder Land! Pt. 2

This afternoon Dad, David, Gracie and I took grandpa and grandma lunch since they had no power. So we stopped by the house to play around!
David upstairs looking down into grandpa and grandma's house.

He decided to make a snowman upstairs! I think that will be the only time he will ever be able to do that inside! Boy, was it cold on his hands!

He's done! David and Gracie, proud of their work!

Yeehaww!

The house from the back. Oh, yes! The back wall is done!

Smile!

Eating snowflakes!

Look how deep it is! *gasp* ....Okay not really! He is on his knees.

Gracie getting dry in the tub/shower! It worked!

The full view of the house from the road, complete with Snowman guarding the premises.

Slip and slide on ice...in the house!

When I took these pictures I could see absolutely NOTHING! I had no idea what I was going to get when I pushed the button! So the goofy looks on the kids' faces is because they were being blinded by the flash! LOL

Ben, Gracie and Sarah in grandpa's kitchen window.

The munchkins in the "appliance door" between the kitchen and the pantry.

The hooligans again sitting in the dinning room window. (Notice Gracie's attire? She has on a red coat, purple skirt, jeans, and tennis shoes! I wonder where she learned to dress!)

Where the roofed leaked the puddles had long since turned to ice, and you know kids, they were "ice skating" in the house and having a delightful time!

Winter Wonder Land!

Yep, it's been quite nippy here of late. The last two mornings we have been greeted by a frozen world! No snow but that doesn't mean it isn't white!
This is the coldest it has been here at our home, that we have seen at least! To some of you I am sure 2o degrees is nothing but for Valley here in Oregon, it is cold!

Our frozen pasture and our donkey, Brego.

Frozen grass in the yard.

This is the windshield on our van! It's that amazing! I can't believe all the patterns!

The ice on the trampoline.

The second story......

......has a floor!!!!! The "work crew" started and then finished the sheeting on the second floor today! Thankfully it didn't begin to rain until they were laying the last piece of sheeting! We were praying they would keep dry!

Here are the recent pictures of the house in progress:

She's 10 now!

Sarah turned 10 last week!

It just feels like yesterday when I sat in the family room anticipaing the little one that would be born any minute! Then to hold her little form in my arms was a delight indeed! What happened to that baby? She grew up into a lovely delightful young lady! Love you lots my little sister!

The birthday girl and I!

"It's her birthday....huuurraaaah...."

Mom and Heather enjoying the show of opening presents!

"Oh! I LOVE it! .....What is it?"

Gracie made her an apron!

Lydia giving trying to make the horse make a noise.

Since Sarah is allergic to wheat, she decided ice cream with toppings sounded lovely! We had a terrible time trying to keep the candles upright! oops They kept falling over and sliding down her ice cream mountain!

Here are a few pictures of Sarah from the last several years:

Too Old?

Is a girl ever too old to get a doll for Christmas????
Personally, I don't think so!
I have not yet decided what to name her, so I am asking you all for ideas. What name do you think fits her properly?
This is the antique doll that I have had my eye on for a long time! She is the replica of a doll that was played with and adored by girls in the 1800's.
Her china face

The growth tucks and lace on her skirt.

Her little china hand!

Let me know what name you think fits her best!

Lydia's Photo Shoot

A sunny, windy, cold afternoon outside with my sister!
Ah! The joys of watching a little person enjoy God's beautiful creation!
Enjoying being in the cold and wind!

Sitting on the bridge watching the water bubbling under her feet.

She is climbing the gate when I caught this priceless photo!

Lydia and I together!

Taking a stroll under the oat trees

This is another of my favorites (I wonder how many times I have said that? hehehe) . She looks just like I did at this age!

Girls and curls!

p.s. I am trying to post this again since the pictures disappeared from here last night....not sure what happened...
