Thanksgiving

The joy of being a Christian is made full when we're able to thank God for His goodness to us in the good times and the hard.  Over this last year I've been humbled as I think of all the ways God has been gracious to me.  From the darkest valley to the highest mountain, He has been my strength and my joy.  This year, if asked what I'm thankful for I will say, "I'm thankful and blessed that my God is patient and good to me."  He alone knows what is best for me and nothing that happens in my life, good or bad, is in vain.

This year we get to celebrate what God has done for us with this charming girl!  It's Vienna's first Thanksgiving and yes, she will be tasting the food too!  I'm very thankful for her spunky personality and precious smile that would melt the hardest of hearts.

I'm thankful too, for family, grandparents, and old and new friends to celebrate Thanksgiving with.  He is good!

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!  Psalm 118:1

I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.  Psalm 108:3

I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.
Psalm 7:17

I give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever.  Psalm 86:12

Mother's Day!

Since my brothers left for church early to help set up, we were only able to get us girls in a picture with our mother.  At least all five of us sisters were able to do a fun (and quick) photo shoot with our precious mother.

We are all deeply thankful to God for giving us to such a dear mother.  Even after her 31 years of child-raising, she still doesn't tire of being a mother to her children and she shows she cares for us by pointing us to Christ and has helped our dad to instill in us a desire to please Him.  We are so thankful for her!   We love you mom!!!

A Tandem Bike Ride!!!

We recently were able to ride a tandem bike at a families home and we had a blast!  Believe me, it's not as easy as it looks!

Wow!  They look so tame, calm, cool and collected!

Maybe not!  Lol!

Gracie had way too much fun terrorizing me!  But it really was fun!

My Etsy Shop!!!!

Oh my goodness!  I'm so excited to announce Huckleberry Lane's Esty shop!  I've been making and wearing unique hair accessories for a long time now, so after many many compliments and encouragements to open an Etsy shop, I've done just that!  I have a few hair clips posted and am working on more.  I have several darling baby head bands and lace earrings almost ready to post.

The clips are backed with an alligator clip which makes them very secure in your hair, on a headband, purse, bag or as a lapel pin!  These lovely clips can be used in countless ways and you will find it rather enjoyable to see all the things you can do with yours!  These can even be clipped onto a wedding bouquet, on the ribbon or burlap around a vase with flowers!  Stunning!

My sisters, mom and I simply adore wearing the clips in so many different ways.  I'm surprised how often people take notice of the clips and comment on them.

Each hair clip I make is unique since I don't have a pattern.  I just keep working on it till it looks right and makes me happy!  When it's done I begin snapping pictures since I'm eager to share my creations!

Each bow has lace of some sort, unique tulle, fabric with texture and you can't forget the pearls!  Pearls and lace make girls and ladies happy!

I also have these stunning lace earrings for sale.  Too fun!

Please pass on the link below to anyone you think will fall in love with lace, pearls, tulle, and vintage!   Remember to check back often since I'll continue to add new items.  You won't want to miss them!

Our Precious Vienna Marie!

It's a GIRL!!!

Here is a Valentine bundle of love that will last a lifetime!  My niece, Vienna Marie was born yesterday into a family who is delighted and overjoyed to welcome her!  We pray God will grow her into a woman who will glorify God and be a shining light for our Maker!  She indeed is fearfully and wonderfully made.  Her momma did an amazing job!  Well done Keslie!  We all prayed a lot for Keslie and Vienna since last night when we found out Vienna was breech.  Bottom first!  They planned to go to a lady who helps turn breech babies but before they could do so Keslie went into labor early that morning.  The midwives and assistant made it to their home in time and all were overjoyed at the lovely calm birth.  God was gracious and things went amazingly well.  Now we get to watch Vienna grow and get to know this little person we love so dearly.

Here are some pictures I took when she was about 5 hours old after a vigorous feeding and long nap!
