The Driveway post!

Back to blogging about the house! I had this post all ready to put up but Emma decided to take up my blogging time, so back to house stuff it is!

We have prayed through this house building process that God would help us find great deals and help build this house as cheaply as possible! He has been so faithful and has given us many, many times to thank Him for His provision! The asphalt for the driveway was no different! We had talked about cementing the driveway but didn't plan to do it any time soon but God had another plan! He brought a great deal right to our front door! Once again we are overwhelmed by His goodness and answer to our prayers!

Preparing the driveway for the asphalt.

Here comes the big black thing!

Eight workers and they were good at what they do.

Pouring the asphalt into the spreader.

Detail!

The man on the right grew up on our property! He and his wife were here to visit from AZ, it was so nice to see them again after a year and a half! They left last year when we just had the foundation down so there was quite a change at our place since then!

Jake found a shady place to rest! Poor old dog! Getting up there in years and not moving so fast!

Poor girl got all banged up! It was all her own fault! Goose egg on her head, a scratch on her nose and some sun on her cheeks! This is her new cheesy smile, but I think it's funny!

The owner even offered the kids a ride, oh yes!

This is what we do for our workers! Homemade cookies, water, iced tea and coffee! Wana come and work here???? lol!

Gracie, Sarah, Ben and Lydia get a ride on the slow moving grader!

They had so much fun!

Lydia kept this man company for a while! I think he liked listening to her talk!

The view from our kitchen window!

Big girl! She LOVED it up there!

Loadin' up and movin' out!

Ta da!

Yep! The kids love it!

Bikes, roller blades, and skates! Talk about fun!

Oh Yeah!

We even got a new and improved culvert for under the driveway.

Ben crawled all the way through!

Lydia singing away!

Goofy girl!

Even goofy-er!

House painting coming up next!!!!

My Blue Civil War Dress on eBay

I've decided I need to sell my blue dress that I love in order to make money for a new camera. I love this dress but with our reenacting slowing down I thought it would be okay to sell my dress and then I have an excuse to make another one in the future! That makes me happy! =) Even have the fabric to make another dress!

Its all the more fun to celebrate when we have so many others who are celebrating Emma's new life with us!!! We are truly blessed by the dear life of this little girl and can't wait to see what kind of woman God makes of her!
