One big announcement!

On June 6th 2008 David met the C family, without Keslie's knowledge, at Ft. Stevens State Park where we very first met their family. There is a lovely little bridge at the park near the river where us girls have had many pictures taken of us when at reenactments and it is on that little bridge that David met Keslie and dropped to his knee and asked her to be his wife! I can just see her now saying yes and then jumping into his arms! It was raining that day but it didn't take away from the charm of the moment and the thoughts of their life ahead of them. It is truly amazing how God brings two people together to share a life as one person and raise many children to send into the world as arrows for God. Their special day on which they will be wed is Aug. 30th, 2008. There is much to do in the next 74 days! Oh, the joys of wedding preparations! What a blessing to be part of it all!

My brother, future sister and her ring!

Hand in hand.

"Will you marry me Keslie?"

The happy couple!

The wedding preparations begin!

This is the first of the MANY pictures that Keslie, Kami and I are in together. It was the very first hour we had ever met! Never did I think then that some day I would call them sisters! Sarah J, my other dear friend was with me at that time as well! Such happy memories!

A sign of love!

The ring again from the side! Isn't it just lovely?

Please join us as we pray for David and Keslie. They have much ahead of them in the coming days and they will need to be wise in their decisions. I pray God will bless their life together and bring honor to Him through their actions.

I love you both!

Dear Ulmer family,

I just LOVED your post under David and Keslie's courtship announcement, "There is nothing like a courtship to set a family into a fit of rejoicing." I have quoted you many, many times because you so accurately and beautifully captured the moment with those few words. Thank you for your kindness and encouragement!
