Heather was hired a while ago to make our grandma's hospice nurse's wedding cake. To make it even more fun all our family was invited to attend the wedding along with our grandpa and David and his family. We haven't been to an event together like this since we brought grandma home. It was a special time as we sat around the table and talked and laughed together.
Heather did a stunning job on the cake! She is amazing! She makes the frosting so smooth which makes it look like fondant but it actually tastes good (unlike fondant!). She added pale pink roses that are David Austen's Heritage rose. Gemma, our nurse, had seen them in a bouquet during one of her visits and fell in love with them so it was special to be able to put them on her cake. Not only was the cake lovely but it tasted AMAZING! After the bride and groom cut the cake and tasted it the bride raved about it and took another bite! I was so funny and everyone laughed!
