After a couple weeks of rain and clouds these last 2 days of amazing weather gave us the itch to be outside once again. What better way is there to enjoy the sun, siblings and our calendar view than taking a picnic to the creek? I'm not sure! But I do know taking a camera along is a must.
Off we go, starting on our grand adventure.

Careful! I can tell you there were many close calls as we often lost our balance and nearly toppled head first into this small channel, which I might add would've got us rather wet but wouldn't have swept us downstream like the main channel of the creek.

After the flooding this winter there were trees down all over our creek. This one caught my eye with all the river rock embedded in the root system.
The girls found and inspected an ants nest and watched them scurry here and there.
Our back yard! Is it a calendar view or what? This is just one branch of our creek. With all the flooding the creek has changed course yet again.
