3rd Anniversary and 250th post!

These last 3 years have flown by like the wind!  Moving in day was exciting and a ton of work, but thanks to friends and family we were moved and enjoyed a pizza dinner together.  It has been a huge blessing to enjoy the fruits of our labors as we thoroughly enjoy our home, making it a place we all love.

250th post!  I had no idea I've posted so many posts through the years!  Yay!

Emma and Molly are growing so quickly into lovely little ladies.  Emma is talking up a storm and is a busy girl who loves her aunties!  Molly is walking now and enjoys snuggling with her mama and smiling and playing with her family.   These girls are just precious to us!

Going Dancin'

We were delighted to be part of a charming dance put on by some friends.  The theme was Costumes, so our family had great fun picking out and creating costumes to go dancin' in.  I think the best part of the evening, other than dancing and being with friends, was seeing everyone's costume choices!  It was great fun!

Dad went as Zorro! Heather made his costume.

I came downs stairs after getting ready to see our Zorro playing the piano.  I thought it looked amazing.  Zorro can sure play!

 Sarah was Lucille Ball

 Gracie was Debbie Reynolds.

I went as Cinderella in my bridesmaids dress from David and Keslie's wedding.

Heather had on an 1870's era dress.

 Taylor was Bertie Wooster!

This is the family who hosted the dance!  They put on a charming dance and we all felt very loved by all the care and planning that went into all the little details of the evening.

Lemon water, tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and even pop corn!  Wow!

Waiting for the dancing to begin!

Robin Hood (David), William Wallace (Ben H.) Bertie Wooster (Taylor), and Zorro (dad) talking together.

 Benjamin, our western sheriff.

 2 lasses chatting

Emma went as "Little Bo Peep" who lost her bonnet!  She had it on when she arrived but it got in the way!  Molly was her little sheep!

 We had a grand time!

"Film Stills"

Getting ready for a glamor shot.

"Ouch!"  Gracie fixes something in her slipper.  Sarah waiting for her turn in the picture.

"Come on Sarah, loosen up!"

"Oh!!!  Did you hear....?"  *gasp*

 Unsuspecting ladies.

 *scream* EEKKK   A bad guy!

"Don't worry!  I'll take care of it!"  Gracie always prepared and ready.

My dad's newest piece of handiwork!

Dad finished Mom's Mother's Day present!!!  She's long desired a porch swing and Dad has finally finished her dream!  It's needless to say that she isn't the only one who is going to enjoy it. :-)

Ta da!!!   It comfortably fits 3 people (but it can hold more!)

The seat is made out of an antique table top.  The table was falling apart and wasn't fixable so Dad found another great use for it.

The back is an antique door Dad had lying around.  It was too short to fit a normal doorway and it fit the swing perfectly after cutting a few inches off the bottom!!  He decided to take off the handle though...didn't think it would feel good in the back of the neck!  lol!

These are the legs of the table and the arm rest was the brace for the table legs...we love putting junk furniture to a new use!

These are Maple bars that started the Fairchild Family Feud.....
(insert here the theme music from "the Good the Bad and the Ugly")

They really were divine maple bars.....but I didn't say that.....let them think they got the last word!  Okay?  hehehe!
